Airport C-UAS Application Project Overview
Airport C-UAS Application
To address unauthorized drone flights, hostile intrusion, and illicit surveillance around an airport, the project deployed an integrated C-UAS system combining RF spectrum detection, directional RF jamming, portable countermeasure units, and a command platform. The RF layer provided continuous monitoring within approximately 3 km of the airport and supported drone identification and operator-location analysis. Directional jamming could suppress GPS/BeiDou navigation and remote-control links so an unauthorized UAV would return or land, while frequency planning was used to avoid tower communications and other protected bands. Portable units supported rapid deployment around runways, terminals, and other priority areas. The command platform combined monitoring records, maps, and response plans for coordination with air-traffic control and public-security teams. The source material identifies Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport as an application site.
