Inside N-TET: Turning C-UAS Requirements into a Reviewable Configuration

A reviewable C-UAS configuration begins with operating requirements, not a list of devices. N-TET first separates the protected area from the area that can realistically be observed, then asks who will use the system, which evidence they need, how alerts will be reviewed, and which existing power, network, mounting, map, camera, and record systems are involved. This method does not promise that every unknown can be resolved from a questionnaire. It makes the unknowns visible so the buyer can distinguish confirmed requirements, product specifications, site assumptions, optional functions, and questions that need a survey or test.
What does N-TET ask first?
- Which assets, sectors, heights, and operating periods require monitoring?
- Which permitted flights and normal site activities should operators expect?
- Which evidence should create an alert, enrich it, and support visual review?
- Who reviews, escalates, annotates, closes, and retains an event?
- Which power, network, mounting, map, time, and user-account constraints already exist?
How are sensor roles assigned?
Remote ID, RF sensing, radar, and EO/IR are mapped to different questions rather than treated as interchangeable coverage circles. N-TET records which source may provide identity, radio, movement, or visual evidence, and what the operator sees when a source is missing or disagrees with another record.
Why keep options separate from the core scope?
A portable review, a fixed-site perimeter, and a vehicle-mounted requirement may share equipment categories while creating different needs for transport, setup, endurance, network access, maintenance, and staffing. Keeping the base configuration, alternatives, and optional functions separate makes cost and responsibility easier to review.
What belongs in the output?
The output should include a scope summary, system diagram, sensor-role matrix, equipment and option list, interface register, site-condition assumptions, operating workflow, validation items, and open-question log. Performance values remain linked to their stated conditions instead of becoming site guarantees.
